Race Day Information & Timing Details

The countdown is on! As race day approaches, please review the following important information:

Timing Crew Arrival
Our crew will arrive approximately two hours before the race to set up and prepare for race-day registrations. Please ensure a representative is available to show us the exact location of the start/finish line.  
Registration & Runner Information

• If you are not using RunSignUp as your registration platform, please contact us at [email protected] for instructions regarding runner information and bib assignments.  We will walk you through step-by-step.
• Runners should be informed (by email) that real time results will be posted on RunSignUp during the race if you are using RunSignUp as your registration platform and at www.commonwealthtiming.net shortly after the event.

Race Bibs
For accurate timing, it is critical that:

• Bibs are worn on the front of the body, at chest level, and on the outside of clothing.
• Each runner should only wear the bib assigned to them.  It is the races responsibility to ensure all runners wear the bib number they were assigned.  This might be the most important thing you can do to help the race and results go smoothly. 

Awards & Race Details

• Please complete your awards categories clearly. If you’d like suggestions for age groups, we are happy to assist. Be very specific when listing your awards and age groups. 
• If your event includes multiple races, provide us with the distances, start times, and award categories for each.
• For kids’ fun runs, let us know whether the run is timed or untimed. (Untimed kids’ fun runs that are a mile or less are not included in your runner count for invoicing purposes.  

Timing Fees

• Base Race Timing Fee*: $595 for the first 100 registered runners.
• Additional runners: $2.50 per runner beyond the first 100.
• Mileage: $0.60 per mile round trip from Midlothian, VA, for races located more than 20 miles away.
• Races within 40 miles of Washington, D.C. are subject to a $300 Metro surcharge in lieu of mileage.

What We Provide
We supply everything needed for your start/finish line, including:

• Tent, tables, and chairs
• Overhead finish truss, corral, and chute and a  generator for our power 
• Time clock, PA system, timing chips, bibs, and safety pins

Your team is responsible for all other aspects of the race.

Please provide two race shirts for our timing team.
